Masterpiece of the week

If you have ever wanted to create your own animated movie, then this is the place to be! Learn to make a movie using claymation techniques and a digital camera. The class will learn modeling, story boarding, staging, and lighting that will all be put together to create a movie.

Young artists will experience mixing colors, using a brush, and basic composition. With these skills students will have fun learning to paint and creating a work of art they are proud of. This course focuses on developing technical skill, while exploring shape, form, and value. Students will work at his/her own level and will be introduced to new concepts as they progress.

Young artists will observe and record the natural world around them. Embarking on drawing excursions they will sketch plants, bugs, and nature. Young artists build strong drawing skills, including the use of positive/negative space, line, shape, shading and color.

AGES 5 & UP. Students learn about great works of art and the masters who created them. Using the artist as inspiration the students will then create their own masterpieces. Emphasis is placed on developing skills and techniques. Students will work at their own level and will be introduced to new concepts as they progress. NO CLASS April 5.
